Description
The Fireye SP-32-NG-ND-1.2 is a SureFire II natural draught gas pilot that initiates main burner ignition in power generation, refinery, and petrochemical applications. Its 1.2 m (3.93 ft) insertion length provides the specified installation reach, with a 32 mm outer-diameter air tube. The pilot delivers 17–34 kW at natural gas pressures of 20–80 kPa.
Inside the pilot, gas passes through main and bleed orifices, forming ignition and combustion zones around the stabilizer plate. A sliding sleeve adjusts combustion air intake to maintain the required flame position. The assembly uses a 1/2" BSP female gas inlet and accommodates separately ordered Fireye HESI or HTI ignition equipment with rods up to 16 mm OD.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Fireye SP-32-NG-ND-1.2 typically used?
It serves oil- and gas-fired main burners in power generation, refinery, and petrochemical facilities, operating as an intermittent light-off or continuous gas pilot.
How does the Fireye SP-32-NG-ND-1.2 establish its pilot flame?
Gas flows through main and bleed orifices, while a stabilizer plate helps establish the flame. An adjustable sleeve controls combustion air entering the pilot.
What mounting arrangements are available for this pilot?
The air tube can be welded directly to the burner plate or installed using an optional flanged or weld-on mounting tube, ordered separately.
