The Fireye SP-32-NG-ND-2.0 SureFire II Pilot Igniter produces a stable ignition flame for oil and gas main burners. Using natural gas and natural draught, it delivers 17–34 kW at 20–80 kPa gas pressure for intermittent light-off or continuous pilot operation. Its 2.0 m (6.56 ft) insertion length accommodates deeper pilot positioning where required by the burner design.
Natural gas enters through a 1/2" BSP female connection and passes through the main and bleed orifices to establish the combustion zones. A sliding sleeve adjusts combustion air to help stabilize the flame, while separately ordered HESI or HTI devices initiate ignition. Its 304/316 stainless steel and 310/330 heat-resistant steel construction supports operating temperatures up to 300°C continuously and 500°C at the stabilizer and tube ends.
