Description
The Siemens 1010NR-T2KGS-S2 is a SITRANS FUS1010 ultrasonic flow meter transmitter designed for liquid flow measurement using WideBeam transit-time technology. Its clamp-on transducers mount on the outside of the pipe, so the meter measures flow without contacting the process fluid or requiring a process shutdown to install.
The transmitter runs on 90 to 240 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz and is housed in a Type 4X enclosure. It is approved as AEx [ia] IIC associated equipment with intrinsically safe connections for Class I Division 1 and Class II Division 1 locations. Certifications include CSA, FM, CE, and C-tick.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the sensors contact the process medium, and do I need to cut into the pipe to install it?
No. The sensors mount on the outside of the pipe and make no contact with the medium, so the line stays sealed. Installation and commissioning are straightforward, including on large pipe sizes.
Can the FUS1010 be installed in hazardous or classified locations?
Yes. It is rated Class I, Zone 2, AEx nC [ia] IIC T5, with intrinsically safe connections for Class I, Division 1 and suitability for Class I, Division 2 and Class II, Division 2 areas. Install per Siemens drawing 1010-304, keep the cover closed when power is applied, and bond the conduit hubs together on installation.
