This controller is a modular type controller with embedded input and output modules. The 1769-L19ER-BB1B comes with embedded Sixteen (16) 24 VDC Discrete inputs and Sixteen (16) 24 VDC discrete output which can be expanded by installing up to a maximum of Eight (8) POINT I/O modules. The embedded user memory available to the 1769-L19ER-BB1B is 1 MB and non-volatile memory amounting to 1 GB is provided by the 1784-SD1. This non-volatile memory may also be replaced with a higher capacity module amounting to 2 GB using the 1784-SD2. For communication with Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, programming workstation and other compatible devices, the 1769-L19ER-BB1B is provided with Two (2) Ethernet ports that support 10/100 Mbps transmission speed and topologies such as linear, Device Level Ring (DLR) and star. Up to 256 controller connections and 128 TCP I/P connections can be established through the ethernet ports. It also comes with One (1) USB interface supporting 12 Mbps data transmission speed. This controller can handle up to 32 continuous or periodic controller tasks with each task capable of handling up to 100 programs.

The 1769-L19ER-BB1B is a CompactLogix 5370 L1 Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) from Allen-Bradley. This controller has a compact and slightly scalable properties and supports direct panel or DIN rail mounting. The 1769-L19ER-BB1B is capable of executing a maximum of 32 continuous or periodic tasks with each task may be assigned up to 100 programs. It is provided with Sixteen (16) Discrete input channels and Sixteen (16) Discrete output channels as embedded channels and supports installation of optional local I/O modules using the 1734 Point I/O modules. Up to Eight (8) Point I/O modules is supported by the 1769-L19ER-BB1B. The embedded user memory installed to this controller is 1MB with non-volatile memory amounting to 1GB which can be upgraded to 2GB non-volatile memory. The built-in communication ports are Ethernet I/P and USB interfaces. The Ethernet ports support Linear, traditional star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topology. Supported transmission rate by the Ethernet ports are 10/100 Mbps with auto-negotiation function while the USB port supports 12 Mbps communication speed. It features dual Ethernet ports and comes with an integrated switch that allows support for traditional star, linear, and DLR (Device Level Ring) topologies. DLR capability enhances network resiliency where individual parts can be replaced without compromising production. The 1769-L19ER-BB1B Controller has one USB port, supports local expansion modules, and allows the use of an SD (Secure Digital) card for nonvolatile memory. It uses a POINT I/O (1734) backplane and can accommodate up to 8 I/O expansions. The 1769-L19ER-BB1B’s embedded I/O DC digital modules consist of 16 inputs and 16 outputs. It features a maximum capacity of 8 Ethernet nodes and a user memory of 1 MB. This controller ships with a 1GB 1784-SD1 card but can support a 2GB SD card (1784-SD2). The 1769-L19ER-BB1B DIN Rail Mount PAC has a 24V DC input, isolated embedded power supply with 10-28.8V DC operating voltage range. Its power terminal accepts 1 or 2 wires size 0.051-3.31 mm2 (30 and 12 AWG) with solid or stranded copper wire rated at 75 °C (167 °F) or greater and 1.2 mm (3/64 in.) insulation. Its minimum line requirement (VDC) is 30VA.
