The Allen-Bradley module is an analog output module that produces voltage/current signals. This module has Four (4) single-ended outputs, with an output voltage range of 0 to 10 volts and 0-20 mA.

The 1769-OF4 is an Allen-Bradley Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) component specifically used as analog output module of MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controller. This analog output module is designed to provide to drive modulating Final Control Elements (FCE) of a particular control loop such as modulating valves, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Dampers, Louvers and indicating devices such as indicators, recorders, data loggers and other devices.
This analog output has an embedded Four (4) single-ended output channels. Each channel are individually configurable for signal types such as 0-20mA and 4-20 mA Current signals and ±10V dc, 0 to 10V dc, 0 to 5V dc, 1 to 5Vdc Voltage signals. This module has an output resolution of 15-bit configurable for unipolar and bipolar operation. The analog signal may be used or assigned as the Control Output (CO) of a Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) controller or retransmit a signal to a receiving element such as indicators, recorders, data loggers, converters and other similar instruments. The analog output signal may also be initiated via a Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and other computer based or electrical based manual loaders.
The 1769-OF4 supports installation with a MicroLogix 1500 controller or CompactLogix controller however, the module instance is limited according to the power supply distance rating. For the 1769-OF4, the required distance is Eight (8). Should there be more than 8 modules are needed, another power supply may be installed in the CompactLogix assembly to qualify other modules.
