The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 is a Two (2) channel analog output module. This module is a single-slot width module with each channel capable of providing analog voltage and current signals such as ± 10VDC, 0 to 10VDC, 0 to 5VDC, 1 to 5VDC and 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA.
This output module may be used to drive modulating devices, re-transmit analog data to another receiving element such as panel meters and data logger and as input of signal isolators and splitters.
The 1769-OF2 features Two (2) single ended output channels with sigma-delta Digital-to-Analog (DAC) converter. Depending on the configured output signal, the module’s resolution are ±10V dc: Sign + 14 bits, 0.64 mV 0 to +5V dc: Sign + 13 bits, 0.64 mV 0 to +10V dc: Sign + 14 bits, 0.64 mV +4 to +20 mA: Sign + 14 bits, 1.28 µA +1 to +5V dc: Sign + 13 bits, 0.64 mV 0 to +20 mA: Sign + 14 bits, 1.28 µA. Overall, the digital resolution across full range is 14 bits (unipolar); 14 bits plus sign (bipolar) with conversion rate 2.5 ms and step response of 2.9 ms.
The 1769-OF2 output may be linked to Proprotional + Integral + Derivative (PID) controller, used for implementing manual and automatic control of analog control loops. If used with CompactLogix version 20.
The 1769-OF2 has a current load of 10 mA and a restive load on-current output of 0 to 500 ? (inclusive of wire resistance). It has a load-on voltage output range greater 1 k ? at 10 Volts DC and an inductive load per current output of 0.1 mH. The 1769-OF2 has a capacitive load per output voltage of 1 µF.
