Allen Bradley 1769-OB32T CompactLogix Output I-O Module

The 1769-OB32T is a compact I/O module. This module features a 32-point output channels that delivers a nominal output voltage of 24VDC. It has an operating voltage range of 10.2 and 26.4V DC, and a 0.5 ms output delay for On transition and output delay of 4 ms for Off transition.

The 1769-OB32T has a draw current of 220mA at 5.1V and a 4.67W maximum heat dissipation. It has a maximum leakage current (off-state) of 0.1mA at 26.4V and a minimum current (on-state) of 1.0mA. The 1769-OB32T has a maximum current-per-point of 0.5A with a surge current of 2.0A for 10ms, which is repeatable every 2 seconds. The 1769-OB32T has a single slot width and can mount on a DIN rail or panel mount. The module weighs about 230 g (0.51 lb) and has dimensions of about 118 x 35 x 87 mm (4.65 x 1.38 x 3.43 in.) It comes with IEC Class 2 reinforced insulation. The 1769- OB32T has an 8-module rating power supply distance and a terminal torque screw of 0.68 Nm. The Allen-Bradley 1769-OB32T is a 1769 Compact I/O module. This module is a discrete output module which features thirty-two (32) sourcing output channels with nominal output voltage of 24 Volts DC and output voltage range of 10.3 – 26.4 Volts DC. This module is used in compatibility with the 1769 CompactLogix controllers or the MicroLogix 1500 controllers. It is a single slot module that directly installs to the backplane of the 1769 assembly or the MicroLogix 1500 expansion slot.

 

The 1769-OB32T output channels have continuous output current per common of 2.0 Amperes and a maximum continuous output current per module of 4.0 Amperes with maximum surge current of 2. 0 Amperes, once every 2 seconds with a maximum duration of 10 milliseconds. Each channel exhibits a signal delay of 0.5 milliseconds before switching ON and 0.4 milliseconds before turning OFF while the maximum off-state leakage current is 0.1 milliampere @ 26.4 Volts DC. Furthermore, the module’s minimum on-state current is 1.0 milliampere while the maximum on-state voltage drop is 0.3 Volts DC @ 0.5 Amperes.

 

The 1769-OB32T has a maximum backplane current draw of 220 milliamperes @ 5 Volts DC with a maximum power dissipation of 1.10 Watts and thermal dissipation of 4.76 Watts. This module has a power supply distance rating of 8 modules, therefore, it must be mounted not more than 8 modules away from the power supply. In situations where the module cannot follow the power supply distance rating, an I/O power supply can be installed strategically to the backplane to qualify the assembly and operate the control system.
