Allen Bradley 1769-L33ERMOS Compact GuardLogix Controller

The controller is from the Compact GuardLogix product series. The series offers several different controllers that meet high demands in regard to safety and reliability.

This unit is part of the special Armor™ Compact GuardLogix series that provides a combined industrial controller solution consisting of a controller and a rugged power supply. The housing of the power supply unit has an IP 67 rating for machine mounting. The 1769-L33ERMOS controller uses a safety task signature for verification. Also, it should be mentioned that this kind of controller can be used with a human-machine interface (HMI) devices. The controller supports communication through the EtherNet/IP and DeviceNet networks. The Compact GuardLogix 5370 controller has a built-in EtherNet port for standard and safety communication, while DeviceNet communication can be achieved through an optional module which supports only standard communication. The unit uses SD cards for storage space and it is delivered with a 1-gigabyte card. The controller supports multiple cards with capacities of up to 2 gigabytes.

The 1769-L33ERMOS controller has an onboard memory of 2 megabytes for standard operation and it has a 1-megabyte memory for safety operation. This model has 8 motion axes and it supports a maximum of 32 controller tasks. Even though the Compact GuardLogix controller is extremely easy to install, the proper spacing for ventilation and electrical isolation should be considered. The 1769-L33ERMOS controller requires at least 50 millimeters (2 inches) of space on all sides and it can be mounted on the panel or on a DIN rail.
