The 1769-L33ERM is a CompactLogix controller form the 5370 L3 product category. Being part of the CompactLogix product family, the 1769-L33ERM feature a small-form factor hardware with expansion provisions.

Additionally, this controller features integrated motion over Ethernet I/P feature. This controller is ideally used for small to mid-size control and automation requirements, popular with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for use in the factory or process automation applications.

The 1769-L33ERM has an embedded non-removable user Random Access Memory (RAM) amounts to 2MB and a non-volatile memory of 1GB that ships with the controller via the 1784-SD1. This non-volatile memory may be upgraded using the 1784-SD2 Secure Digital (SD) card which has 2GB user memory. Data exchange and communication with other PLCs / PACs, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) are enabled by the dual ethernet I/P ports installed to 1769-L33ERM. Additionally, it also has a USB communication interface for local communication. The USB port cannot be used for industrial data exchange.

For interfacing with I/O devices, up to Sixteen (16) compact I/O modules may be installed to the local backplane of this controller, enabling local I/O expansion or installed and distributed to a maximum of Three (3) I/O banks.

The 1769-L33ERM supports integrated motion over Ethernet I/P where up to Eight (8) motion axes may be configured. Programing languages supported by this controller include Relay ladder Logic (RLL), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).

The 1769-L33ERM has a maximum surrounding air temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity is 5 to 95% noncondensing according to the IEC60068-2-30 specifications. The operation vibration of this module is 5 G at 10 to 500 MHz. The 1769-L33ERM’s operating shock is 20 G for a DIN rail and 30 G for a panel mount, while its nonoperating shock is 30 G for a DIN rail and 40 G for a panel mount. The 1769-L33ERM module has a radiated RF immunity of 10 V/m with 1 kHz sine-wave 80% AM from 80 to 2000 MHz. The Allen-Bradley 1769-L33ERM CompactLogix Controller can support 32 controller tasks at once. One controller task can run 100 supported programs. This module provides internal energy storage that eliminates the need for a battery and this module can perform different topologies like the Device Level Ring (DLR), Linear, and Star topologies. The Allen-Bradley 1769-L33ERM has a power supply distance rating of 4. This module has an embedded onboard user memory of 2 MB. This module has a 1784-SD1 Secure Digital (SD) card with 1 GB of memory storage. Turn off the power when inserting or removing the Secure Digital (SD) card to avoid an electrical arc.
