The 1756-IT16 module is a ControlLogix 1756 component that is designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This enhanced I/O non-isolated analog module is made for applications requiring advanced control capabilities and it provides stability, accuracy, and high performance.
The 1756-IT16 module offers improved functionality and it is mounted directly in the chassis. The ControLogix modules are available in module variants like general purpose isolated analog input modules, combined temperature sensing input modules, and general-purpose current voltage analog output modules. The 1756-IT16 thermocouple analog I/O module has 16 channels and 24-bit resolution. The unit has a status LED display and an open enclosure. The unit includes certifications from the CE, c-UL-us, RCM, Ex, KC, EAC, and IECEx standards.
The 1756-IT16 module has 200 milliAmps of current draw at 5.1 Volts DC and 80 milliAmps of current draw at 24 Volts DC. In addition to that, the input/output range of the unit is -100 to 100 milliVolts with a maximum value of 5 Volt-Amps. The overvoltage protection rating is +/- 30 Volts DC while the normal mode noise rejection is 75 decibels at 60 Hertz. The 1756-IT16 module has an ITS-90 type thermocouple linearization and it requires two CJC sensors for operation in thermocouple mode.
