The Allen Bradley 1756-IN16 is an AC digital input module with 16 inputs, having 8 points per group. It can be used with the 1756 ControlLogix chassis but it needs a removable terminal housing, or RTB, before it can be connected to the chassis.

The 20-pin RTB compatible with the 1756-IN16 module are the 1756-TBSH and the 1756-TBNH. You can configure a change of state and input filter times with this particular module. The module has an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 Volts AC and 47 to 63 Hertz and a voltage category and nominal input voltage of 24 Volts AC 50/60 Hertz. The input delay times of the 1756-IN16 are as follows: from ‘off’ to ‘on’, it is the hardware delay of a maximum of 10 milliseconds plus the filter time (user-selectable at 0, 1, or 2 milliseconds), and from ‘on’ to ‘off’, it is the hardware delay of a maximum of 10 milliseconds plus the filter time (user-selectable at 9 or 18 milliseconds).
