The Allen Bradley 1756-IF16IH is a ControlLogix Current Analog Input Module series with the HART Protocol that works in a 225 mA at 5.1V DC and 200 mA at 24V DC voltage and current ratings. The Input current ranges from 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA.
This Current Analog Input Module has 16 inputs and 16 – 21 bits of resolution. With power dissipation of 5.30 W, the 1756-IF16IH works with an inrush current of 400 mA at 5.1V DC and 450 mA at 24V DC. Moreover, it has a continuous isolation voltage of 250V, an input impedance of 250 ï—ï€ (±5 ï—), and an open circuit detection time of 5 s applicable for 4-20 mA range alone.
The 1756-IF16IH utilizes an input overvoltage protection of 28.8V DC and has a common mode noise rejection of > 90 dB at 50-60 Hz. In addition, this module has an input offset drift with temperature of 300 ïA/°C and a gain drift with temperature of 20 ppm/°C. With an input conversion method of Sigma-Delta ADC (24-bit converter), the 1756-IF16IH has an output conversion method Sigma-Delta ADC (24-bit converter). Thus, the typical calibration interval of this module is 12 months. The 1756-IF16IH works in a the 1756-TBCH or the 1756-TBS6H type of removable terminal block and an open-style enclosure. The 1756-IF16IH works in an integer mode IEEE 32-bit floating point type of Data format and has a 0.15% – 1.5% of the full-scale calibrated accuracy at 25 °C (with HART disabled).
