Features

The 1756-A13 supports horizontal mounting only. It requires minimum cabinet size of 60.9 x 76.2 x 20.3 cm (24 x 30 x 8 in.) for installation and weighs 1.90 kg (4.2 lb). It is directly installed to the enclosure subpanel via the provided mounting tabs located on top and bottom of the chassis. Install this chassis at a temperature range of 0…60 °C (32…140 °F) for Series A and B chassis and -25…+60 °C (-13…+140 °F) for Series C chassis. It has operating vibration rating of 2 g @ 10…500 Hz and operating shock rating of 30 g. This chassis may be used with the Logix 5560, 5570 and 5580 product families.

The 1756-A13 has backplane current consumption of 1.5 A @ 1.2VDC; 4A/4A @ 3.3 VDC; 15 A/6 A @ 15 A/6 A and 2.8 A/2.8 A @ 24VDC. It has power dissipation of 5.4 Watts with an open type enclosure rating.

The chassis backplane distributes power to each of the modules within the chassis by providing a high-speed communication path between modules. It needs a Bulletin 1492 IFM or an RTB to connect all the field-side wiring. The 1756-A13 Standard Chassis provides easy maintenance with the Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP) feature. For preventing replacement errors, it also offers electronic keying.
