The Watlow SD6 is a 1/16 DIN panel mount temperature and process controller designed for precise control in various industrial applications. It features a universal sensor input compatible with multiple thermocouples, RTDs, and process inputs, providing flexibility across different systems. The controller offers up to three outputs, configurable for heating, cooling, or alarm functions, enhancing its adaptability to specific process requirements.
Equipped with DeviceNet™ communications protocol, the SD6 integrates seamlessly into networked environments, facilitating efficient data exchange and system integration. Its dual LED displays allow simultaneous viewing of process variables and setpoints, simplifying monitoring and adjustments. The controller includes features such as ramp to setpoint, variable burst firing to prolong heater life, and Watlow’s INFOSENSE™ sensor technology, which improves sensor accuracy by at least 50%.
The SD6 is housed in a NEMA 4X (IP65) rated enclosure, ensuring durability and protection against environmental factors. It has been successfully tested for compliance with ODVA and Semiconductor SIG standards for DeviceNet™ on CAN networks, underscoring its reliability in demanding settings.
