The Watlow SERIES F4D is a 1/4 DIN dual-channel ramping temperature controller designed to meet the demands of complex ramp and soak processing applications. It features a high-definition, four-line LCD interface that simplifies profile programming and controller configuration. The controller supports up to 256 steps, which can be organized into as many as 40 nameable profiles, providing extensive flexibility for various thermal processes. Equipped with a 16-bit microprocessor, the F4D ensures precise process control and reliability. Its universal inputs accommodate multiple sensor types, including thermocouples and RTDs, enhancing its versatility across different applications. The controller includes four digital event inputs and eight event outputs, allowing for remote initiation, pausing, or termination of programmed process recipes. Additional features such as a real-time clock with battery backup, cascade control, and menu customization further enhance its functionality. The F4D is housed in a NEMA 4X-rated front panel, ensuring durability in harsh environments, and includes serial communication interfaces (EIA-232 and EIA-485) with Modbus® RTU protocol for seamless integration into existing systems.
