The Watlow 965A3CDO00RG is a 1/16 DIN microprocessor-based temperature controller designed for precise thermal management in various industrial applications. Equipped with dual outputs, the primary output can be configured for heating or cooling, while the secondary output serves as a control output (opposite to the primary), an alarm, or can remain unused, depending on the application’s requirements. Both outputs support PID or on/off control modes, with PID settings encompassing proportional band, reset/integral, and rate/derivative parameters. Setting the proportional band to zero enables simple on/off control with a selectable switching differential.
The 965A3CDO00RG features auto-tuning capabilities for both heating and cooling outputs, facilitating optimal PID parameter configuration. Additional functionalities include a ramp-to-setpoint feature for gradual system warm-up and automatic/manual operation with bumpless transfer, ensuring smooth transitions between control modes. The controller’s dual four-digit displays, available in red or green, provide clear visibility of process variables and setpoints.
