The Omega RAT-24-12 is a high-temperature Type R thermocouple assembly designed for precise temperature measurements in extreme environments. This assembly features a 12-inch long, 1/4-inch diameter high-purity alumina protection tube, providing excellent resistance to thermal shock and chemical corrosion. The thermocouple element, composed of platinum and platinum-13% rhodium, is insulated with a double-bore high-purity hard-fired alumina insulator, ensuring accurate and stable readings at elevated temperatures. The assembly includes a cast iron NB1-2 connection head with a 1/2″ NPT fitting, facilitating secure and straightforward installation. Capable of operating in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres, the RAT-24-12 is suitable for applications requiring temperature measurements up to 1650°C (3000°F).
