The Omega RAT-20-12 is a Type R thermocouple assembly designed for high-temperature measurements up to 1650°C (3000°F). It features a 12-inch probe constructed with 20 AWG platinum-rhodium (Pt/13%Rh vs. Pt) wires, enclosed in a high-purity alumina ceramic protection tube measuring 9.5 mm (3/8 inch) in outer diameter and 4.5 mm (3/16 inch) in inner diameter. The assembly includes a cast iron NB1-2 connection head with a 1/2″ NPT fitting, providing a secure and durable interface for industrial applications. This thermocouple is suitable for use in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres, making it versatile for various high-temperature processes.
