The Omega BAT-20-12 is a Type B platinum thermocouple designed for high-temperature measurements up to 1650°C (3000°F). It features a 12-inch long, 9.5 mm (3/8 inch) diameter high-purity alumina protection tube, providing excellent resistance to thermal shock and chemical corrosion. The standard construction includes a cast iron NB1-2 connection head with a 1/2″ NPT fitting, facilitating secure and straightforward installation. The thermocouple elements are insulated by a double-bore high-purity hard-fired alumina insulator, ensuring accurate and reliable temperature readings in demanding environments.
