The Honeywell C7061A1046 Purple Peeper Flame Detector is a dynamic self-checking device designed to sense ultraviolet radiation generated by the combustion of gas, oil, or other fuels. This model features a mounting flange with 1-inch NPT internal threads for easy attachment to a sight pipe and operates at 120V, meeting NEMA 4 standards for robust protection.
The oscillating shutter mechanism interrupts ultraviolet radiation reaching the UV sensor 12 times per minute, enabling continuous self-checking of the UV sensor tube and amplifier circuitry via the 7800 Series Control microprocessor. This ensures high reliability and safety in combustion systems.
The C7061A1046 can be mounted in any orientation, and includes integral locating reference points for precise faceplate alignment. The UV sensing tube and quartz viewing window are field replaceable, enhancing maintainability. The detector also features threaded conduit fitting and color-coded leadwires for quick electrical installation. It supports parallel wiring of two detectors to minimize nuisance shutdowns in challenging flame sighting conditions.
