The Honeywell 833-2290 is the BC7000 “Blue Chip”, an advanced microcomputer-based integrated control system designed for single burner applications using gas, oil, coal, or combination fuels. The system’s primary control element is a highly reliable microcomputer programmed to deliver enhanced safety, functional capabilities, and features surpassing conventional electromechanical or solid-state controls. The BC7000 system offers automatic burner sequencing, flame supervision, status indication, first-out annunciation, self-diagnostics, and energy conservation.
One of the standout features is its dynamic self-check provisions, which continuously monitor system performance to ensure proper operation. Safety features include dynamic self-check logic, expanded safe start checks, dynamic input checks, closed-loop output checks, high fire purge switch tests, and tamper-resistant timing and logic. The system provides first-out annunciation and diagnostics via a numeric display, fault codes for safety shutdown causes, and hold codes for failure causes. LED sequence status lights give clear visual information about the program position and alarm status.
The BC7000’s universal system chassis can accommodate any standard burner program sequence, timing, and features with the appropriate plug-in PM720 program module. The system also supports various plug-in flame amplifiers. It replaces the R4140 and R4150 in most applications and can be mounted on the same wiring subbase, ensuring long-term, dependable operation through its microcomputer technology.
