Fireye EP381 Programmer Module

The Fireye EP381 is a programmer module designed for use with the Fireye Flame-Monitor Burner Management Control System. This module provides start-up programming, safe-start check, and flame monitoring supervision for commercial and industrial burners. It ensures proof of low fire position and conducts fuel valve end switch safety checks, initiating a safety lockout if any monitored circuits are open at inappropriate points during the control cycle.

Key Features:

• Selectable Purge Timing: The EP381 offers a base purge time of 15 seconds, which can be extended using dipswitch settings to accommodate specific application requirements.

• Ignition Timing: It provides a 10-second Pilot Trial for Ignition (PTFI) and a 15-second Main Trial for Ignition (MTFI), ensuring reliable burner start-up sequences.

• Flame Failure Response Time (FFRT): The module is equipped with a 4-second FFRT, promptly de-energizing fuel valve circuits within this timeframe following a flame failure or at the end of the trial for ignition period if no flame is detected.

• Dipswitch Configurations: Six dipswitches allow customization of operational characteristics, including:

  • Recycle or Non-Recycle Operation: Determines the control’s response when the running interlock circuit (3-P) is opened during the firing cycle.

  • Intermittent or Interrupted Operation of Terminal 6: Configures terminal 6 to remain energized throughout the firing period or to de-energize after a specified time.

  • Extended Purge Timing: Enables adjustment of purge duration to meet specific safety or process requirements.

  • 3-P Running Interlock Circuit Verification: Option to require the 3-P running interlock circuit to be proven open at the start of the operating cycle.
