The Fireye 70D30 Flame Safeguard Chassis is a non-modulating, 120V burner management control designed to provide ignition and main flame failure protection for automatically ignited oil and gas burners. As part of Fireye’s D Series controls, it supersedes similar C-Series models and is directly plug-in interchangeable, facilitating straightforward upgrades and replacements.
This chassis is compatible with various plug-in amplifier modules, allowing selection among ultraviolet (UV), repetitive self-check UV, AUTOCHECK infrared (IR), or rectification methods of flame detection. The modular design enables easy installation and maintenance, with plug-in programmer and amplifier modules that can be customized to meet specific application requirements.
The 70D30 features a safe start check that verifies no flame signal is present before initiating the burner sequence, enhancing operational safety. It also includes a test switch that permits the operator to halt the programming sequence before energizing the main fuel valves for testing purposes. LED indicators provide visual status updates, and the unit incorporates a non-volatile memory to retain history and current position during power interruptions.
