The Delta Control Products ST150-3-32/DM24-53 is a 1.5-inch, three-way Soft Touch characterized ball valve paired with a DM24-53 non-spring return actuator, designed for precise flow control in HVAC applications. The valve features a flow coefficient (Cv) of 32, ensuring efficient fluid handling. Constructed with a forged brass two-piece body and stainless steel balls and stems, it is suitable for water temperatures up to 284°F (140°C) and saturated steam up to 15 psi. The valve’s design includes a blowout-proof stem and mounting flange, combined with a double O-ring stem seal and self-centering stem bushing, providing quick and easy electric actuator field mounting while ensuring long life and leak-free performance. Graphite-reinforced PTFE seats backed with EPDM O-rings significantly reduce operating torque, allowing the use of economical actuators. All valve and actuator assemblies provide 200 psig close-off pressure while ensuring operation after long idle periods. Due to their cost-effective, reliable design, ST2 Series Ball Valves are maintenance-free.
The DM24-53 actuator operates on 24 VAC power and is available for use with incremental or proportional controllers. This non-spring return actuator is easily installed on variable air volume (VAV) boxes as well as Bray SoftTouch Series characterized ball valves. The DM24-53 has a running torque of 53 in-lb (6 Nm) and a nominal 90-second travel time for 90° of rotation at 60 Hz (108 seconds at 50 Hz). It features a manual gear release for easy installation and field adjustments, and its NPT threaded housing allows straightforward electrical connections. The actuator is engineered for durability, with a cycle life of 100,000 full stroke cycles, ensuring long-term reliability in various HVAC applications.
